Our story
I’ve been a creator and artist all my life, exploring different mediums as my skills and interests have evolved. From an early age, I was drawn to working with my hands and transforming raw materials into something beautiful, useful, and meaningful. In high school, I became an avid fabric artist, spending countless hours at the sewing machine and ironing board, designing and creating clothing, quilts, and home décor items. I loved the process of choosing fabrics, mixing colors and patterns, and watching a flat piece of cloth become something with dimension, texture, and personality. Those early projects taught me patience, attention to detail, and the joy of gifting handmade pieces to people I care about.
In college, my creative journey expanded as I ventured into ceramics and jewelry. I learned to throw clay on the wheel, create flat pieces, and experiment with glazes and surface treatments. There was something grounding and meditative about working with clay—centered on the wheel, hands steady, watching a simple lump of earth become a bowl, mug, or sculptural piece. At the same time, I began working with metals, crafting jewelry and small art objects from silver, bronze, and brass. I enjoyed the contrast between the softness of clay and the strength of metal, and I loved how each material demanded its own techniques, tools, and way of thinking. These experiences deepened my appreciation for craftsmanship and the value of well-made, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Most recently, my work has shifted into beading and flatware art pieces, where I’ve been able to combine my love of color, pattern, and symbolism. I started by making Friendship and Celebration Stars for friends and family, along with Creative Crosses designed to mark milestones, honor memories, or simply brighten a space. The feedback I received was incredibly encouraging—people shared how these pieces made them feel seen, celebrated, and connected. That response inspired me to test the market by creating these designs for the public and attending local markets and shows. What began as a simple proof-of-concept quickly turned into a clear “this is a go!,” and I’ve been actively pursuing new shows and market opportunities since our informal launch in 2025.
Out of this momentum, I founded F3 Designs in 2025. F3 Designs creates unique, artisan-made gifts and home accessories that are rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and personal meaning. Each piece is crafted by hand in Helena, Montana, ensuring that no two items are exactly alike. We carefully select materials, colors, and forms so that every design carries a sense of story and purpose, whether it’s a star meant to celebrate a friendship or special occasion, or a cross created to honor faith and resilience. Our goal with F3 Designs is to bring beauty and personal expression into people’s relationships, lives, homes, and spaces. I want each piece to feel like more than décor or a gift — something that sparks conversation, marks a special moment, or simply reminds someone that they are loved and thought of every time they see it.
F3 Designs specializes in one-of-a-kind Creative Crosses that blend artistry, symbolism, and sustainability. Whenever possible, we upcycle flatware, buttons, and brooches, giving new life to materials that carry their own history and character. By incorporating these elements, each cross becomes a distinctive piece with its own story, perfect for gifting, remembrance, or adding a meaningful focal point to any space. We believe true craftsmanship begins with intention — with creating pieces that honor both the person who receives them and the moment they are made to celebrate. Each product is thoughtfully designed as a one-of-a-kind expression, meant for a specific individual, a particular story, and a cherished occasion.
From the first spark of an idea to the final finishing touch, we pair refined detail with a heartfelt, human touch so every piece feels personal and lasting. Our vision is to offer more than beautiful objects: we create meaningful keepsakes that feel as if they were always meant just for you.
In addition to our Creative Crosses, we also create handcrafted beaded Friendship Stars and Celebration Stars, each one designed to be a meaningful keepsake rather than just a decorative object. Built on a sturdy wire frame, every star is carefully beaded by hand, allowing for unique combinations of color, texture, and pattern that make no two pieces exactly alike. These stars are created to honor special moments, relationships, and life events, offering a beautiful way to celebrate the people and occasions that matter most.
Our Creative Crosses are made through a thoughtful eight-step process to ensure both quality and beauty. The process includes measuring and cutting the materials to size, grinding and refining edges for a smooth finish, and creating a sturdy base to support the design. We then craft the focal point, carefully assemble and mount it, and complete each piece by adding a hanger on the back so it’s ready to display. This blend of careful craftsmanship and intentional design is at the heart of everything we make at F3 Designs.
